No patience or tolerance for this kind of betrayal.

I got a hand-wringing letter from Senator Boxer today; I'm guessing trying to cover herself from the scorn and derision that so many Democratic lawmakers are having heaped upon them (and deservedly so) by their constituants who feel betrayed by them. The following was my reply to her.

Like you I don't understand what the Dems are so afraid of. Don't they know if they just put impeachment back on the table, their approval would skyrocket?

So, I'm taking a break from my 'American National Politics' class. I'm answering all of these questions about how wonderful our country is because we have a democratic government and We The People are able to make changes, blah, blah, blah. Well, according to my book, "In the court pathway, people in the U.S. are granted specific legal rights. They can use those rights as a basis for filing lawsuits against the government. Individuals can also file lawsuits asking judges to order the government to follow its own laws, when people believe that government officials are failing to enforce the law properly."
So, why can't we just sue bush and cheney?? (-:
