About me

Currently, I am an art teacher with Akron Public Schools. I am also the Director of a kid's summer recreation program at Kent State University. My wife and I are looking to move out to the Left Coast (PacificNW) sometime very soon. We have been active in Progressive and Democratic Politics since the Dean campaign, which became the Kerry campaign, which turned into our local Portage Democratic Coalitionand Ohio's Progessive Democratic Movement.

Interests

I am an avid fencer (yes with swords), archer (bow and arrows), cook, home remodeler, gardender, yadda, yadda, yadda. Let's just say that my college transcript and my list of interests look something like a University's course catalog.

Organizations I belong to

Portage Democratic Colalition, Progressive Dems, National Art Education Association, USFA (US Fencing Association), and others to be listed as time permits.

Books

To many to list however I tend toward SF and Fantasy when I don't want to think and I need a break from my day to day. I unfortunatly do not have much time for books. I do read as many web comics as I can... some of them are even work friendy.

Music

Anything that is NOT country or western and NOT rap. I'd like opera more if I bothered to learn a few extra lanuages as the best ones are not in English. After those exclusions, anything is open for debate. I do however miss the 80's in all its various musical flavorings...

Movies

As with books, I tend to the SF/Fantasy genre but I keep an open mind. Horror I find boring and predictable, I really dislike most comedies as of late. I do like historical and adaptions of literary works.

Heroes and influences

They caught Socrates but they'll never catch me! Mwa Hah hah hah haaa. A nice smokey red wine like a pinot noir or a shiraz. The character of Larry Darrell from Somerset Maugham' s The Razor's Edge.
