I have to say I say I also feel that way often. Republican voters seem to suck up to the filthy rich. I use to be republican; I am democrat. I voted for Bush in 2000, but not in 2004.
I am an activist for affordable healthcare for every American....

I still remember when I was working in NYC and after Papa Bush started that Gulf War mess, I saw on the TV news that many people were rushing to stores to buy a map of the Middle East!! They didn't know where their husbands, fathers, sons and daughters etc were fighting...

To make it clear to any who still have faith in this party, to make it clear to those who think, "They CAN'T ignore so MANY of us!" that in fact, they are faithless, and their plan is precisely to ignore us while pretending not to, in hopes we will vote for them, be fooled by them again.
So, yes, make it a million signatures. And when they ignore it and trot out the usual excuses and whimper pathetically of how they can't act unless there is some organized public effort, or any of their other preposterous babble, maybe many who signed will see the light and consign them to the trash bin of history and help build a new party -- or new parties.
Make it a million, make it 2 million. Sunshine is the best disinfectant. Let power speak lies to truth, and those who seek the truth seek elsewhere.

It seems that their are much of the population that are scared to death of any kind of change, even when that change is urgent and necessary!
That goes double for politicians that are fearful that their constituents wont accept the necessity of going in a new direction!
Most people have to be hit very hard with a hammer to make an impression on their thick skulls!
Our American revolution like all popular revolutions were fought for and brought to a successful conclusion by a small but decisive minority of the general population.
It was not until victory appeared imminent that the general population rallied in favor of the revolutionaries!
We have to be that hammer and not ease up on slamming that hammer on the numb skulls that cannot seem to wake up from their fear of necessary change!
