Here are a few basics to help you get started.
The Forum is probably the place where you'll spend the most time communicating with other members. This is the place for "hey, what does everybody think about this?" messages. The three most recent posts to the Forum are displayed on the main page. To see all the Forum posts, simply click on the Forum tab.
The Chatterwall is a place where you can leave a little note on somebody's profile for everybody can see. Like "hey, nice profile". It's sort of like a comment on MySpace. Even though the name suggests that you can "chat" back and forth, it doesn't actually function that way. The only person who gets notified about new chatter on your chatterwall is you. So you can't actually "reply" to somebody's chatter on your profile, although you can post comments to your own chatterwall that they might see if they come back.
Blogs are pretty self-explanatory. This is a place to post your own thoughts, rants, musings, etc. People can comment on your blog posts, but you're not asking everybody to get in a discussion about it. If you have things to say that don't need to be brought to the attention of the whole group, your blog is a good place to do it.
And if you want to contact somebody directly, you can always send them a message.
Here are some frequently asked questions...and their answers!
Is ImpeachSpace invite only?
Not at all, it's open to anyone who wants to impeach George Bush and Dick Cheney. (If you want to impeach Alberto and Condi that's cool too.) In particular we're going to be using this network to discuss upcoming actions for the April 28 nationwide impeachment protests.
How do I accept friend requests?
If you look up at the top, right next to the letter icon, you'll see a little person. Click on that icon and your friends list should pop down. Then just hit Accept or Reject and you're done.
Do I have to accept friend requests?
No. Some people want to be friends with everyone, some just want a select group they know well. How you approach this is totally up to you.
Why am I receiving friend requests from non-ImpeachSpace members?
Chances are that they're finding their way here through members that have joined multiple networks on Ning. At the moment, the service allows friend requests between networks, but there will be a privacy option to control this in the future. For now you'll just have to Reject requests you're not interested in.
How do I delete a photo?
Go to your member page (the My Page tab up top). Scroll down and click on the View Photos link that appears on the left hand side. Trawl through your photos and click on the one you want to delete. Hit the Delete Photo link that appears underneath the photo. Click on Go.
Do I have to put my photo on my member profile?
What photo you use for your member profile is up to you. It's a good idea to have something up there, just so we can tell you apart from all the other members. Use your favourite movie star if you like. They won't mind.
I've changed my member photo? Why hasn't it been updated?
It takes about ten minutes for the update to take effect. Just wait a little while longer.
What's with all the different sized fonts on blog posts?
The blog post editor allows members to choose a wide range of font sizes, some of which are too small for most people to read, and others that take over the whole page. I'm going to suggest that everyone stick to posts at size 2 (10pt), the smallest size that's clearly readable. In the future, Ning will implement a different blog editor that will allow for more standardization.
How do I add music to my member page?
At the moment, this isn't possible, but over the next few weeks, Ning will be introducing this function.

Some of it is for people who want to create a social network, but a lot of it applies to members. This FAQ was adapted from the very helpful one posted by Daniel Hatadi at his cool network, CrimeSpace.
